Astronomy explained in an age-appropriate way

A look at the stars with your school class

The Gurten Observatory offers school classes the opportunity to experience the cosmos up close and discover astronomical knowledge in a playful way. In line with Curriculum 21, the observatory's programs promote skills in the areas of nature and technology (NT) as well as space, time, and societies (RZG).

Topics such as “day and night,” “seasons,” and “the solar system” are taught in a vivid way, while students can observe stars, planets, and galaxies through the telescope. They learn to understand the movement of celestial bodies and become familiar with technical aids such as telescopes. The visit is age-appropriate and suitable for all levels.
